Hotel Vulcano

Playa de las Americas is a fantastically lively Tenerife resort but for some holidaymakers it can be a bit too much fun. Step forward the Hotel Vulcano, positioned in a quieter part of the resort and the perfect compromise between chilled out relaxation and making the best of everything that Playa de las Americas has to offer. The hotel buildings are set in leafy grounds and the two swimming pools on site are fringed with palms. Archery, darts, water polo, minigolf and table tennis are all available at the Vulcano and there is also a card area if you fancy a spot of non-competitive gambling. Meals are served in the hotel’s buffet restaurant and there is also a poolside bar where you can get snacks and hot dishes throughout the day.

Rooms at the Hotel Vulcano are comfortably designed and equipped with all mod cons, including minibar, satellite TV and air conditioning. The simple furnishings are nicely done– wooden bedheads and colourful bedspreads – and in keeping with Tenerife style. In the evening the hotel runs an entertainment programme, complete with live shows and music. This is also the time when being so close to Playa de las Americas is beneficial as all the bars and restaurants of the resort are only a few minutes walk away.
