This hotel has a great setting. It’s just set back from the main road, so you can be in the heart of Skala Panagia in less than five minutes. Plus, in the same length of time, you can get to the sands of Golden Beach. It’s a Blue Flag stretch that’s regularly described as one of the best beaches in Greece

Closer to home you’ve got a curvaceous pool. It’s a good size, with a palm tree island taking centre-stage. Thatched sun shades and loungers hug the edge of the water. And there’s a covered pool bar, which is open until well after dark. TripAdvisor reviewers really rate the cocktails here.

As for the hotel itself, with only 70 rooms there’s a real homely vibe. Take the restaurant, for example. It’s simply furnished with only a few tables and chairs. What’s more, there’s no menu as such – instead the chef makes a couple of dishes each day.

Up in the bedrooms, you’ll find bright and comfy spaces. Walls are as fresh and white as the bed linen, while furniture is chunky pine or black wood. Each one comes with a large balcony, while finishing touches include air-conditioning and fridges.
