This hotel has a great restaurant, a beach on the doorstep and is ten minutes away from Mykonos Town.

This place is in a great spot, just footsteps from Platis Yialos beach. Neat rows of loungers line the curve of sand, with restaurants and a mini-market overlooking the scene. Plus the bus stop outside the hotel means you can get to Mykonos Town in about ten minutes.

As for the hotel itself, it’s a typically Greek affair – think low-rise, whitewashed buildings trimmed with blue shutters and doors. Inside, meanwhile, they’ve kept things simple but stylish. Take the bar for example. Plump sofas with cushions in lipstick-red and chocolate take centre-stage against a backdrop of white walls and beamed ceiling. And low-slung leather armchairs add to the chic vibe.

In the bedrooms, fuss-free walls in vanilla or pale blue are teamed with wood furniture and yellow-and-blue soft furnishings. French doors open on to balconies with either a sea or garden view. In-room extras include satellite TVs and fridges.

The best thing about this place, though, is the restaurant – guests really rate it. With blue striped walls and white wooden tables and chairs, it’s got an element of seaside chic about it. Plus, tables spill out onto a canopied terrace overlooking the beach. The menu is Mediterranean, and twice a week a ‘glendi’ is organised, a traditional Greek feast complete with singing and dancing.

Just so you know, the hotel doesn’t have a pool, but you can nip next door to its sister hotel, Petinos Beach, and use the one there.
