For a holiday on Crete on a tight budget you won’t do better than the Stefania Studios in Stalis. This friendly little complex is not only in the heart of the resort but just a two-minute walk from a lovely, gently sloping sandy beach. Stalis is a lively resort, popular with young people due to a great club scene and a brilliant water park, as well as plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.

The Stefania Studios has its own small pool, great for soaking up the sun when you just want a quiet day, and there’s a friendly pool bar where you can find shade and a cool drink if the sun gets too hot. The self-catering accommodation here is in studios that sleep up to three or one bedroom apartments or maisonettes for up to four. Each unit has a kitchenette and most of them have balconies, with either a pool or a street view.
