Rhodes Holidays

Although holidays in Rhodes are very popular, the island is nonetheless outstandingly beautiful, and culturally fascinating. Once home to the Colossus, significant ancient ruins, including the Acropolis of Rhodes and Temple of Apollo, are still visible throughout the island. Lindos holidays are particularly special. The village is cobbled and completely pedestrianised; the only transport is two-wheeled or four-legged. Its ancient acropolis, or citadel, is still remarkably intact, and sits above the village, offering views of the surrounding countryside and lovely cove beneath. Lindos possesses one of the few sandy beaches on Rhodes - most are made of tiny coloured pebbles. The island's capital is also called Rhodes, or Rodos, and Rhodes Town holidays are exemplary.
