Hotel Belvedere details
Set on a cliff that nosedives into the sea, this whitewashed hotel makes for quite a sight. And the views of the Amalfi Coast are equally arresting.
One of the big talking points is the pool – it’s one of the biggest in the area. It’s actually set beneath the hotel at the bottom of the rock face, jutting out over the sea. And, when you want to get a little closer to the sea, follow the steps down to the rocky beach below – the pebble-smooth diving platforms make great sunbathing spots.
As for the hotel itself, it’s a charming family-run affair. The bedrooms are every inch the authentic Italian retreat. Think simple white walls, painted tile floors, and soft muslin curtains. They all come with furnished balconies, too, so you can sit back and soak up the views whenever you like.
On the food front, aside from the pool bar, there’s a stylish restaurant serving up à la carte cuisine. You’ll find a mix of authentic Italian cuisine as well as international favourites on the menu.
