A friendly little place just minutes from Limenaria Beach, the Hotel George comes with a centre-of-it-all setting.

This family-run hotel is ideal if you like to be in the centre of things. It’s set on a lively street in the heart of Limenaria, with shops, bars and tavernas right next door. And it’s only a couple of minutes’ walk from Limenaria Beach, so you’ve got a prime stretch of sand and shingle on your doorstep.

The hotel itself is a small, low-rise building painted in lemon yellow. Inside, things follow a traditional theme. Take the bedrooms, for example. With cream walls, deep-red bed linen and mahogany furniture, they have a really classic feel. And each one opens out onto a little balcony, some of which come with a sea view.

Elsewhere, you’ll find a small café where Continental breakfasts are served. The tables spill out onto the street, so you can dine outside when you fancy. There’s also a bar serving up drinks and snacks during the day. And there’s a small, plant-dotted courtyard when you fancy some peace and quiet.

As for things to do here, the hotel doesn’t have a pool, so days tend to be played out on the beach. There’s a promenade parallel to the water, lined with cafés and bars. At night, meanwhile, you can head to the seafood restaurants and tavernas along the harbour.
