Sitting on Lassi’s half-moon stretch of sand, the Hotel Mediterranee has bagged one of the island’s top spots. What’s more, it’s nestled into its own gardens, so there’s a real air of peace and tranquillity. As for the hotel itself, it’s contemporary and whitewashed with lines and glass panels. Outside pool is tucked between the hotel and the beach. There’s a wide sun terrace, too, decked with loungers and parasols.

Head inside, and you’ll find a classic Mediterranean set-up of white walls and terracotta tiled floors. The bedrooms are pretty spacious and kitted out with all the essentials, including air-conditioning and a mini fridge. They all come with their own balcony or terrace, complete with sea or garden views.

Lastly, there’s the food. Buffet breakfasts are a mix of Continental favourites. Lunch and dinner have more of a Mediterranean flavour - expect traditional Greek meze, fresh seafood and popular international dishes. Plus, for an added touch of seaside living, there’s a self-service beach restaurant open for lunch.
