Scheria Villa details
The Scheria Villa was built to turn heads. It was developed by the famous publishing family, the Hamish Hamiltons, in 1969, and it was designed to resemble a traditional Corfu mansion. Today, the accommodation is split up into a grand main house and stylish studio.
The outdoor area is one of the most impressive parts of the villa. There’s a large swimming pool at the centre of this space and a terrace with parasols and sunloungers. The pool gives way to pretty gardens of mature trees, exposed stone walls and potted herbs. What’s more, the whole area looks out over the Mediterranean Sea.
As far as location is concerned, the villa is just a 10-minute walk from the beach. It’s also a 5-minute drive from the sleepy village of Perama, where you can access some of Corfu’s most popular walking trails and a cluster of traditional tavernas.
