These cheerful apartments are in an enviable setting in the sunniest part of the island. Cushioned between hills and the sea, they’re just a few minutes’ drive from the volcanic beach of Puerto Naos. And the village itself is a relaxed little spot with a main boulevard of shops, bars and restaurants.

Apart from their location, these four one-bedroom apartments have a lot going for them. Each has a verandah looking out towards the sea and they share a lovely swimming pool and terrace just below the building.

The open-plan living areas are cheery, welcoming and spacious. Apricot-washed walls, terracotta tiled floors and honey-coloured pine furniture create an ambience that’s calm and warm. There’s a comfy sofa bed in the lounge with patio doors opening onto the verandah. You’ll find everything you need to make self-catering simple in the compact kitchen area. And the bedroom’s simply furnished, with tiled floors, pale green walls and colourful bedspreads.

Outside, there are sunbeds by the pool and a garden area, so plenty of spots to relax. Plus a terrace with a dining area means al fresco meals are easy. When you feel like exploring, Puerto Naos is a good place to start. Set at the foot of volcanic cliffs, it’s quiet and peaceful with plenty of charm.
