It’s the gardens that make the headlines here. Set just behind the pool area, they’ve been thoughtfully designed and lovingly tended by the hotel’s caretaker for years. Take a wander along the walkways and you’ll pass all sorts of crouching shrubs, colourful blooms and towering cypress trees. It’s the perfect spot for a bit of downtime.

Just around the corner is the swimming pool, a large rectangular number bordered by a pretty stone terrace. For poolside lunches and cocktails, there’s a snack bar complete with a shady veranda. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant. The food is as fresh as it gets and if you pick a table outside you’ll get to witness the gorgeous sunset.

When it comes to laying your head down for the night, you’ve got the choice of a bedroom or an apartment. Looks-wise, they’re pretty similar, with a white colour scheme and pine trimmings keeping things simple and Med fresh. Blue soft furnishings add a splash of colour, while TVs and patios provide the finishing touches. The apartments come with little kitchenettes, too, where you can rustle up simple meals.

In terms of location, the hotel is in a really central spot. For starters, it’s just footsteps from the beach. Plus the town’s shops, restaurants and bars are less than a five minute walk away.
