This place has traditional good looks. It’s a pastel-coloured stone building complete with green shutters and a terracotta-tiled roof.

Inside, there’s a classic holiday home vibe. Cue peachy-coloured walls, tiled floors and simple wood furnishings. In the living-come-dining room, sofas and a stone fireplace keep things homely, while a TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi provide the finishing touches.

In the three bedrooms, wicker-style beds have been teamed with wispy curtains and dark-wood furniture. Plus, the two upstairs bedrooms both have roomy balconies, which look out over the pool area and the sea.

Talking of the pool, it’s huge, rectangular and framed by a stone terrace. There’s a table and chairs out here, as well as a barbecue, so you can look forward to al fresco lunches with a side-order of sea views.

In terms of location, because this place is in the countryside, the setting is really peaceful. But you’re still only a five-minute walk from the beach, shops and restaurants of Lourdas.
