Standout sea views come as standard at the Hotel Corallo – it’s perched on a clifftop in quiet Sant Agnello.

The Hotel Corallo is set on top of a cliff in Sant Agnello, Sorrento’s quieter next-door neighbour. There are plenty of small cafés and restaurants nearby, and Sorrento’s a 20-minute walk away for a bit more choice. It’s perfectly placed for exploring – the train station is just over 10 minutes’ walk away. One direction leads to Naples and the ruins at Pompeii and Herculaneum, while the other takes you into Sorrento where you can catch bus services along the Amalfi Coast.

Thanks to its clifftop location, the hotel serves up widescreen views across the Bay of Naples. A collection of terraces make the most of the vistas. There are a couple for sunbathing, with loungers and a scattering of tables and chairs, and another leads off from the bar. The restaurant also has an al fresco area, as well as panoramic views from inside.

There’s no pool at the Corallo, but at the bottom of the cliff you’ll find La Marinella Beach and bathing platform. It’s private, so there is a charge, but for the price you’ll get loungers and a parasol.
