Don’t be confused by the name of the Marbella Hotel in Marmaris as this is very much a Turkish holiday at a Turkish hotel. The Marbella has a fabulous beachfront location and a large swimming pool with sizeable sun terrace that overlooks the sparkling blue of the ocean beyond. The rooms here have been newly decorated and have the kind of contemporary touches you would expect to find in a chic city hotel. They are also kitted out with all mod cons, including air conditioning, satellite TV and a minifridge.

Guests at the Marbella Hotel dine in the main buffet restaurant and there is a poolside snack bar that serves drinks and light refreshments throughout the day. The Marbella’s sister hotel, the Sunrise, is located 50-100 metres away and guests can use the facilities of both hotels, including a sauna, Turkish bath and fitness room. The Marbella puts on occasional live music nights for guests but keeps the entertainment fairly unobtrusive. With the centre of Marmaris only 2.5km away and a bus stop 200 metres from the hotel, there are plenty of options when it comes to drinking and dining out for the evening.
