A good choice for both families and couples, the friendly, family-run Mariela Hotel Apartments have everything you need for a sun-soaked holiday by the pool. Located in the picturesque resort of Polis, this traditional whitewashed property has a combination of comfortable studios and one bedroom apartments. Decked out in fresh white with touches of cheery yellow and blue, these spaces are equipped with a kitchenette, air conditioning (local charge) and a balcony overlooking the pool. Speaking of which, this sparkling blue number is a great place to soak up the sun whilst enjoying refreshments from the snack bar.

Location-wise, the Mariela is close to the resort centre, so you have everything to hand. There is a charming central square and a selection of shops and traditional Cypriot tavernas, where you can enjoy relaxed meals and drinks whilst chatting with the locals. Nightlife is low-key and revolves around wining and dining as opposed to late night dancing. The area itself is worth exploring if you like nature as you're right at the edge of the Alkamas National Park, as well as close to other pretty towns around the coast. Overall these apartments provide a great base for a relaxing holiday with a friendly atmosphere.
