If Dubai conjures up an image of luxury, the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach will fulfil it. This is a large de luxe property set in spacious tropical gardens in Jumeirah Beach’s exciting new marina in ‘The Walk’ part of town. As you would expect, the facilities here are superb, including a ravishing freeform pool with swim up bar, a separate kids’ pool and playground, a private beach with water sports, a fitness room and squash courts, and a spa with steam bath and sauna. There are four restaurants on site: the Palm Garden Restaurant, a Chinese eatery, a Grill and a wonderful Bedouin tent serving Middle Eastern specialties.

The accommodation has been well-designed and beautifully decorated, with sumptuous furnishings and plenty of attention to detail. Every room has air conditioning and satellite TV, while sea views are available for a supplement. Jumeirah Beach lies just to the west of Dubai’s centre, a 12-kilometre stretch of golden sand where the rich and famous come to play. You’ll find luxury shopping, golf courses, a race course, water sports and the fantastic Wadi Wadi Water Park all in the vicinity.
