With a great pool scene and plenty of games and activities, the Vitor’s Plaza Apartments are a great choice for families.

The Vitor’s Plaza Apartments are set about halfway between Alvor and Praia da Rocha. Their out-of-town setting means things are pretty peaceful, but you’re still less than a 5-minute drive from the nearest shops, restaurants and bars. A free shuttle bus runs to Praia da Rocha Beach most days, too.

Back at the complex, lawns and palms give way to a swimming pool. It’s set in a roomy terrace, and comes with a neighbouring paddling pool for children. There’s a bar close to the water’s edge, where you can get cold drinks and snacks like chicken nuggets and chips throughout the day.

In terms of activities, this place caters for everyone. There’s everything from minigolf and table tennis tournaments to quizzes and bingo put on during the day. In the evenings, meanwhile, karaoke nights and live music acts create a lively atmosphere.
