The Bellino Apartments are ideally located to give you the full flavour of what Crete has to offer. Head 15 minutes down the road in one direction, and you’ll find the lively bars and clubs of Hersonissos. Walk 15 minutes in the other, and you’ll come to the snaking streets and old houses of Koutouloufari.

From the outside, the Bellino looks textbook Greek. The grounds are shrouded in bright Bourgainvillea, the apartments are sugar-cube white, and even the parasols by the pool reflect the colours of the national flag.

As far as the swimming pool is concerned, it’s everything you’d expect from a Cretan holiday home. There’s a special children’s section for the little ones to splash about in. And, close by, you’ll find a shaded area with a pool table and satellite television for when the midday sun gets too hot.

Inside, the apartments are colourful and cosy. The rooms are detailed with wooden panelled doors and cool stone floors so there’s no shortage of character. The best part is, every room comes with its own balcony or terrace.

When it comes to cooking, the apartments have all the essentials. Kitchenettes are equipped with a fridge and two cooking rings, so you can make your own meals to tuck into on your balcony or terrace. Alternatively, let someone else do the hard work and enjoy the weekly barbecue that takes place by the Bellino’s pool. There are also plenty of tavernas and restaurants in Hersonissos and Koutouloufari.
