The Luabay Marivent has clinched a setting close to Majorca’s cosmopolitan capital, Palma. It’s just a few minutes’ drive from the city’s swish marina, and buses regularly run into the centre. Best of all, the hotel is right on the beach in Cala Mayor, so you’ve got easy access to the sands.
The property just had a complete makeover, so the interiors are stylish and contemporary. The bedrooms, for example, feature light grey walls, voile curtains purple soft furnishings. Plus, they come with nice-to-haves like flatscreen TVs and balconies.
Outside, there’s a swimming pool. It’s flanked by loungers and glossy palms, and serves up widescreen views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Food-wise, you’ve got a choice between an international buffet eatery, and a speciality restaurant that alternates between Italian and Spanish fare.
