When only a textbook Caribbean location will do, the Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa is well worth a look.

The Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa has secured one of the best spots in Aruba. The hotel sits on the sands of Eagle Beach, just a few metres from the Caribbean Sea. It means great views and a front-row seat to the sunset come as standard.

The beach itself is dotted with sunloungers, palm trees and palapas. There’s a bar here, too, and the staff will bring chilled cocktails out to your recliner on the sand. Back behind the palms, you’ll find a rectangular swimming pool, as well as a spa where you can indulge in treatments like shiatsu massages in Balinese-inspired cabanas.

Food-wise, there’s plenty of choice. Breakfast comes courtesy of the open-air restaurant and features waffles, omelettes and cereals. Lunch, meanwhile, is a beach bar affair. Come the evening, though, you can head for the Italian à la carte or the steakhouse to dine on elaborate pastas or filet mignon.
