These family-run apartments offer up a standout pool scene and a centre-of-town location.

Set in the heart of Stalis, the Stefania Studios have just about everything on their doorstep. The beach, with its child-friendly shallow waters, is just a two-minute walk away. Tavernas, restaurants and a few late-night discos are closer still. And the pick-up-point for lots of the island’s excursions is right outside the door.

Location aside, star billing goes to the swimming pool. It’s a good size, and snakes its way through the grounds like a miniature lazy river. What’s more, close to the water, there’s a pool bar where you can shelter from the midday heat with a cocktail or a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice.

The studios themselves come with kitchenettes featuring all the self-catering staples, including a hob, a fridge and a kettle. But, if you feel like taking a night off from cooking, the Greek evenings here are really popular. Later on, you can grab a post-dinner drink at the Stefania’s Leprechaun Bar. This little pub gets more than one mention on TripAdvisor for its lively and welcoming atmosphere.

Last but not least, the Stefania Studios are run by a family and guests are treated like part of the brood – some days you’ll find up to four generations working side by side and delivering their trademark friendly service.
