Olive Grove III is a peaceful base with easy access to Latchi. Expect sleepy days by your private pool, followed by dinner in the village and a nightcap on the villa’s outdoor terrace.

Olive Grove III looks less like a villa, and more like a rustic farmhouse. It’s got grey cobbled-stone walls and a burnished red rooftop, and it’s tucked among the palm and fruit trees in the Latchi countryside, along with a few other secluded properties.

The villa has 4 bedrooms and an open-plan living-come-dining-and-kitchen area, and each room has real character. It’s partly thanks to the wooden ceiling beams, the classic white painted walls, and the tiled floors. But it’s also because of the homely touches the owners have added, like Cypriot-style lamps that cast a soft glow everywhere.

Outside, you’ve got a kidney-shaped private pool. It’s built into a nicely-paved terrace, which looks out over the surrounding greenery. And it comes alongside a shaded barbecue area, a covered hot tub, and a helping of sunbeds. Just around the corner, meanwhile, there’s a sauna.

When you’re not relaxing in the sunshine or cooking up al fresco meals, you’ve got Latchi to explore, just 10 minutes’ walk away. It’s a pretty pastel-painted fishing village, with a sandy beach and a harbour humming with seafood restaurants and ouzo bars.
