Hotel Mellieha Bay

Hotel Mellieha Bay occupies a beautiful spot on Malta’s coast overlooking the azure waters of the island’s biggest bay. The hotel is sitting pretty in seven acres of gardens and also overlooks its own private beach which is one of the only sandy beaches on the island. There are both outdoor and indoor swimming pools, tennis courts, a bowling green, games room, darts facilities and a pool table, as well as a lounge and TV room and an English library.

Rooms at the hotel have a touch of class with a cream colour scheme and flashes of colour in the bedding and curtains. Each one has a fridge, minibar, satellite TV and terrace or balcony, and many of the rooms have sea views. There is a playground on site for children and the hotel also runs its own kids club to give mum and dad a break for a few hours.

As the hotel is so close to the sea there are plenty of water sports available, such as windsurfing and snorkeling safaris, and the hotel’s PADI five star diving centre offers professional instruction in scuba-diving to guests at whatever level, from beginner to expert. The hotel's restaurant offers two buffets and guests can enjoy an after dinner nightcap at the Jamaica Inn pool area, or head into Mellieha village 3km away for dinner and drinks. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which will take guests to Valletta, Bugibba and Sliema.
