Olu Deniz is one of Turkey’s most outstandingly beautiful areas, and if you book into the Turquoise Hotel be prepared for its spectacular location: the property sits between soaring, pine-clad mountains and the bluest-of-blue seas, skirted of course by a beach of soft golden sand. Thankfully, the traditional architecture of the buildings works in harmony with this ravishing landscape and the whole place has the feeling of a pretty rural village. The jewel at the heart of this village is the gorgeous freeform pool. It has a separate children’s pool, spacious sun terraces that afford the most wonderful mountain views and a poolside snack bar. It’s also overlooked by the hotel’s semi-open a la carte restaurant – you can dine here or in the main buffet restaurant.

The accommodation at the Turquoise Hotel is attractive and comfortable, though you probably won’t spend much time in your room; air conditioning, satellite TV and minibar come as standard. Further facilities include a fitness room and Turkish bath, billiards, tennis, table tennis and children’s club. You’ll be just 600 metres from the centre of Olu Deniz and the beach, where you’ll find bars, tavernas and nightclubs.
