There’s a little bit of Hollywood Hills glamour about Ioanna’s House and the way it reclines over the Nissaki mountainside. And its sand colour-scheme and arched entranceways only add to the style.

Outside, you’ll find a private infinity pool, a recently paved patio area and bespoke sunlongers made from wicker and iron. And the views are impressive to say the least – the hillside plunges away from the villa, opening up picture-perfect vistas of the ocean. Beyond the perimeters of Ioanna’s House, there’s a handy supermarket just a couple of minutes’ walk away. And the beach is a five minute drive, a small shingle stretch offering a choice of watersports. The village of Nissaki, again just five minutes from the villa, is a sleepy affair steeped in tradition.

Step inside and you’ll find a real home-from-home. From the flame-red sofas in the lounge to the rustic kitchen with its country cottage cupboards, every room has its own character. And the whole place is stuffed with mod cons, including a washing machine, dishwasher, CD player, television and DVD player.

When it comes to mealtimes, you’ll find it easy to cook in the kitchen – this place comes with an oven, hob, grill, toaster and fridge-freezer. Alternatively, you can use the barbecue and dine under the pergoda on the terrace.

Finally, this villa makes a great base for exploring. There’s a small shingle beach just a five-minute drive away, where you can have a go at watersports. The tavernas in the sleepy village of Nissaki are just five minutes in the car, too.
