Tucked away in botanical-style gardens, Palm Galleria offers a bit of escapism. It’s a 15-minute drive from Khao Lak Town, so it’s pretty peaceful. And it’s just across the road from Pakarang Beach – a laid-back strip of sand dotted by a handful of low-key beach bars, where you can sip drinks from hammocks.
At the hotel itself, the centrepiece is the swimming pool. It measures 400 square metres and sidles up to a 4-bed Jacuzzi. There’s an open-air massage gazebo close to the water, too, where you can get massages, scrubs and milk treatments.
In The Gallery Restaurant, you can choose from a buffet or a la carte dinner. Dishes range from traditional Thai to international options. Later, pop into Palm Bar for cocktails or herbal tea.
