Like an oasis in Lanzarote’s volcanic black landscape, Paradise Island is a great family-friendly resort with plenty of space and masses to do. Firstly, there are two fabulous freeform pools, one of which is heated in winter, with two separate kids’ pools and surrounded by well-furnished sun terraces. Add to that tennis courts, minigolf, petanque, beach volleyball, giant chess, a gym with sauna and Jacuzzi, and a kids’ playground to keep everyone busy. The accommodation is in low level adobe style buildings – fresh and attractive one bedroom apartments with lounge area and kitchenette, satellite TV and either a balcony or a terrace.

Meals at Paradise Island are taken either in the main buffet restaurant or the on-site Chinese restaurant; there is also a pool bar that serves snacks and a mini-market. The resort is 1.5 kilometres from the sandy Playa Flamingo Beach and two kilometres from the resort centre of Playa Blanca.
