This is the perfect rural retreat. A traditional stone villa with a terracotta-tiled roof, it sits in gorgeous green grounds with swishing trees and pretty gardens shared with its neighbour, St Nicholas House. Outside you’ll find a barbecue and a peaceful patio area that’s perfect for al fresco dining. There are also sun loungers so you can work on that all-important holiday glow.

Inside, crisp whitewashed walls rub shoulders with modern home comforts. An open-plan design with a dining area, the kitchen has everything you need, such as fridge freezer and microwave, and in the cosy lounge, you’ll find all the mod cons, such as a DVD player, TV and a CD stereo. The bedroom upstairs is full of character too with sloped beamed ceilings. Although you’re secluded here, that doesn’t mean you’re off the beaten track.

A pretty five minute stroll takes you to the silky-soft sands of St Nicholas beach. And if you really want to crank up the pace, Corfu Town is about a 15 minute drive. However you spend your time at this rustic bolthole, it’s the perfect place for a serene Greek escape.
