Wonderfully characterful and warmly welcoming, the Beira Mar is an enchanting hotel in Baga Beach, North Goa. This is the perfect base for exploring one of India’s most beautiful coasts and there is an excellent beach just a short walk away from the hotel. Old-fashioned, colourful buildings in blue and white or shades of pink cluster around two lovely pools, from one of which you’ll be overlooking the paddy fields, teeming with local wildlife. Meals are taken in the decorative Lagoon Restaurant and there is also a snack bar on site. The rooms, though simply furnished, are clean and feature ceiling fans, satellite TV and fridges.

The Beira Mar is just two kilometres from Calangute, where you can sample the delights of the local cuisine and shop for souvenirs to take back home. The beach at Calangute is considered to be one of Goa’s finest and you’ll be able to indulge in a wide range of water sports here.
