The Bitez Garden Life Hotel is a modest on size and price but high on quality. Located just 200 metres from a heavenly sandy beach on Turkey’s Aegean Coast, the hotel’s surroundings are fabulous, from the flower-filled garden to the breathtaking backdrop of mountains beyond. The focus of the action here is the charming pool area, with wooden sun decks and luxurious loungers, a separate kids area and great poolside snack bar. There’s also a sauna and Turkish bath, and an internet cafe.

The Bitez Garden Life has a good restaurant and the accommodation, though simple, is of a high standard. Decorated in cool pale neutrals, all the rooms have air conditioning and minibars, while upgrades to superior suites are available. The hotel is in Bitez, close to Bodrum; this is a quiet and unspoilt resort with a reputation for windsurfing. The nearest restaurants are within 100 metres of the hotel, or you can hop on a bus to Bodrum for more choice and buzzing nightlife.
