A traditional property on the waterfront in Samos Town, the Hotel Aeolis holds onto its old fashioned values – a warm welcome, impeccable service and an emphasis on giving their guests the best possible experience. Those things aside, the most notable feature of this family-run hotel is its wonderful rooftop pool, bar and terrace. From here you are afforded spectacular views over the town, the harbour, the gorgeous blue sea and, of course, the mountains rising up behind.

Down at street level, there is another cafe bar where guests can dine out on a shaded terrace. The bedrooms are cool and stylish, with contemporary furnishings, air conditioning, satellite TV, wi-fi, fridges and small balconies. The nearest beach is Gangou Beach, some 800 metres away, but in terms of restaurants and shops, these are right on the doorstep. As capitol of the island, Samos Town is a busy, vibrant fishing port standing on a beautiful horseshoe bay – the perfect place for an authentic Greek experience.
