The charming Hotel Ino Village is just the place for a quiet holiday soaking up the Samos sun. Pale pink with white balconies and terracotta roofs, the hotel is nearly as pretty as its location – on a hillside overlooking Samos Bay with the mountains rising up behind. And the stunning views this position affords are most in evidence from the lovely veranda restaurant and the sun-drenched terraces around the pool. And talking of food, guests enjoy a la carte dining here from a menu of Greek specialties lovingly prepared using fresh local produce.

The bedrooms at the Ino Village are pretty and comfortable, with tiled floors, dark wood furniture and attractive pictures on the wall. This is one hotel where it’s worth paying extra for a superior room – not only will you get air conditioning but your sea view balcony is just the place for watching the most spectacular sunsets. Samos Town is a kilometre from the hotel but the beach is just 400 metres down the hill.
