Set on a hillside looking out to sea, this hotel has views that are nothing short of sensational.

When it comes to location, this hotel certainly delivers. It’s in pretty Taormina, and there’s something to see in every direction. Head up the hill and you’ll reach the ancient Greek theatre - one of the largest of its kind in Sicily. Shops, cafés and restaurants are all just a five-minute walk away. And, there’s a beach just at the bottom of the hill – with a cable car to take you down there.

The hotel itself is in a rocky garden filled with flowers and palms. Inside, it’s bright and welcoming, with an open-plan lobby decked out in smooth marble and simple spotlights. The bedrooms themselves are fairly basic, but they’re light and roomy. Plus, you can request a sea view to make the most of the outlook.

Outside, meanwhile, it’s a real sun trap. There are three terraces dotted with loungers and parasols, and a deeper-than-average pool when you want to cool off. It has a shallow ledge all the way around the outside if you just want to dip your toes in. And, below the surface there’s an aquarium-like glass panel.
