It’s the taverna that steals the show at the Eftalou. The hotel’s restaurant is famous on the island, with both holidaymakers and locals flocking here to taste the wood oven-cooked pizzas and delicious Greek mezes. The chefs mainly use ingredients grown on the island, so everything is really fresh and tasty. Plus you can tuck into your meals on the stone terrace outside, which is a nice touch.

Leading off from the terrace is the hotel’s swimming pool. It’s really big, and comes surrounded by gardens overflowing with trees and flowers. There’s a kids’ section, too, and plenty of loungers and umbrellas for everyone.

Inside, a smart scene awaits you. Take the lobby, for instance. Wooden sculptures stand against elegant pillars, while chocolate-coloured sofas are set around little tables.

As for the bedrooms, they’re simply decorated and all slightly different. Plain walls are brightened up by patterned curtains and bedcovers, while dark wooden furniture provides the finishing touches. In terms of mod-cons, you can expect air-conditioning and satellite TVs, as well as little fridges. Plus all the rooms come with balconies and there’s a daily maid service so you don’t have to lift a finger.

Finally, when it comes to getting out and about, you’re in a great spot with the stone beach just across the road. Molyvos Town is slightly further afield, but the hotel has a courtesy bus, which makes getting there and back easy.
