You can only reach this place via a winding country lane, so it’s ideal if you want to escape for a bit. It’s surrounded by gardens, too, so it feels really tucked away from the rest of the world. Having said that, you’re not too cut off from everything. It’s less than a ten-minute drive to the centre of Pollensa from here, and just a bit further to the beach.

Inside, the villa has got all the traits of a rustic hideaway. Take the living-come-dining room, for example. Slanted wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors set the scene in here. And accessories come in the form of chunky wooden furniture, blue sofas and shelves lined with homely vases and ornaments.

It’s a similar story in the bedrooms. There are three - two doubles and a twin - and they’re all decked out in the same traditional style. Think neutral tones, soft lighting and statement carved dark-wood headboards. Finishing touches include floor-to-ceiling wardrobes and bedside tables.

Elsewhere, there’s a swimming pool flanked by patches of grass, cobbled stone and a cluster of loungers. The whole set-up is bordered by thick hedges and trees, so it’s really private space to relax. Al fresco meals, meanwhile, come courtesy of the garden barbecue - they’re best enjoyed on the shady terrace overlooking the pool.
