There are two villas here – Kallisto and Akali – both offering plenty in the way of luxury. From the outside, they look like they’ve stepped out of a high-end design magazine. Low-rise sand-coloured blocks and a wooden pergola come together to create something that looks thoroughly chic and modern.

Inside, the décor goes down the understated elegance route. Both villas have living rooms decked out with cream walls, plush carpets and brightly-coloured paintings. A grand-looking fireplace and dark-wood coffee table in each one add to the swish vibe. They both come with a satellite TV and a DVD player, as well.

In terms of the bedrooms, both villas have a double with an en suite bathroom as well as a twin with a further, separate bathroom. They’re all dressed in warm cream tones, and come with good-sized beds and air-conditioning.

Outside, meanwhile, you’ve got a stylish pool scene. The pool itself is framed by a stone terrace, lined with white cushioned loungers and smart parasols. A whirlpool bath ups the glam factor, while chunky terracotta pots and bursts of greenery add the finishing touches to the scene. The real standout feature here, though, is the view of the coast. It’s best enjoyed on the terrace, over an al fresco lunch.

Lastly, in terms of location, the villas are nestled into a hillside, in a really tranquil spot. That said, they’re less than a five-minute walk from Voulisma Beach and the nearest shops and restaurants.
