Poseidonia Beach Hotel

In a prime position overlooking a sandy beach, the Poseidonia Beach Hotel on the outskirts of Limassol is a great place to stay when you want a dose of Cypriot sunshine. Outside, there’s a large rectangular pool, with a separate kids’ pool, on a raised terrace overlooking the sea. Below this well kept lawns stretch down to the sandy beach, where you can paddle in the warm waters of the Med or push the boat out, so to speak, with some water sports – water skiing, wind surfing, sailing and paragliding are all available, though there will be a local charge.

Inside, the recent refurbishment has given the hotel a real sense of fun – from the crop of coloured glass orbs in the lounge to the boat shaped bar with its sails and rigging ceiling – this is the place for the regular folklore and karaoke evenings. The relaxed restaurant serves mouth-watering buffets, coupled with outstanding sea views, while the Aegean coffee shop, between the pool and the beach, is perfect for a quick snack or a drink. The bedrooms are spacious and attractive with air conditioning, fridges, satellite TV and private balconies.
