Funky architecture and luscious green gardens make the Rodos Star Hotel All Inclusive stand out from the crowd. This great little hotel stands on a hillside with commanding views out over the Aegean and to the family-friendly resort of Afandou below. The hotel has a lovely rectangular pool, flanked by sun terraces and the verdant gardens, as well as a shaded pool bar and plenty of loungers. There is also a separate kids’ pool along with a children’s play area.

The Rodos Star’s restaurant serves a delicious variety of both Greek and international dishes, while the pool bar will keep you supplied with snacks and drinks all day. Then later, repair to the cocktail bar for a drink before enjoying one of the barbecue or karaoke evenings. The accommodation is in either family rooms or twin bedrooms and all have air conditioning (payable locally), televisions, fridges and either a private balcony or terrace. The resort centre is just 400 metres away, with plenty of restaurants and a good nightlife, while the beach is within 15 minutes’ walk.
