There’s an air of tranquility at this pretty villa. Mature shrubs and huge palm trees frame the steps leading to the front door, and a mountain backdrop adds a final flourish to its rural setting.

Separated by a courtyard from neighbouring villas, Daniel and Daniella, the Daniel Gran is completely private. And like Daniel, it has a fully gated private pool, making it a perfect pick for families with small children. But with four bedrooms it’s bigger than its sibling.

Inside, it’s homely and traditional. Dark wood furniture and a Majorcan wood burning stove make an attractive centrepiece in the spacious lounge/dining room. What’s more, the villa’s very well equipped throughout. In the kitchen there’s a breakfast table and chairs plus mod cons. And as well as a bathroom with an over-the-bath shower, there’s a separate shower room.

Outdoors, the pool is a particularly generous size and with sunbathing terraces, as well as a covered veranda, you’ve got the choice of sun or shade. And there’s also a private tennis court which guests are welcome to use. In terms of al fresco dining you’ve got a stone-built barbecue in the company of lovely views across the countryside.
