This charming two-storey villa has storybook good looks. It’s all cobbled stone walls, terracotta roof tiles and wooden window shutters. It’s set in picture-perfect countryside, too, so the backdrop looks just as good as the villa itself.

Step inside and there’s a traditional vibe. In the living room, brick walls, a stone fireplace and wooden beams share space with modern touches like a black leather sofa. And in the kitchen area, expect dark-wood furnishings and all the usual gadgets, like a fridge-freezer and a microwave.

Elsewhere, terracotta tiles border a circular swimming pool, and there’s plenty in the way of parasols and sun loungers. Top billing, though, goes to the covered terrace – it’s a great spot to enjoy al fresco barbecue lunches while gazing out at the hills.

Lastly, you’re in a location that’s handy for everything. Although you’re tucked away in the countryside, you’re within easy walking distance of the beach – around 15 minutes – and the shops and tavernas of Hersonissos, which take less than 10.
