If you’re after the real Greek deal, these villas are a great choice. Take their location, for starters. They’re set on a hillside as part of a cluster of properties spreading up the hills of Kalathos, and come surrounded by olive groves and orange trees. What’s more, uninterrupted sea views are part of the package. The villas are in a handy spot for getting out and about, too, with the village of Lindos just a ten-minute drive away and the beach around a five-minute drive.

Two villas have made it into our collection - Afrodite and Athina. Looks-wise, each one is as classically Greek as their backdrop. We’re talking whitewashed walls, wooden shutters and roomy verandas. Inside, things have a more modern edge. Spacious living rooms feature canary-yellow sofas, chunky wooden tables and modern art prints. Satellite TVs and DVD players provide the extras and, in the kitchens, you’ve got essentials like coffee-makers and washing machines.

Head upstairs and the bedrooms are all about simplicity. Think terracotta tiled floors, muslin curtains and big beds dressed in white linen.

Step outside and each villa comes with its own swimming pool. They’re not huge, but they’re nice for cooling off in. Factor in smart sun terraces, dotted with loungers, and they’re smart spaces geared up for days in the sun.
