A seafront sanctuary just minutes away from the centre of Skopelos – the Hotel Aeolos gives you the best of both worlds.

For a room with a view, check in to this recently refurbished hotel. Overlooking Skopelos Bay, it offers up prime views of the sea, the harbour and Skopelos Town. What’s more, it’s all within walking distance. So you’re ideally placed for beachside peace and quiet without being too far from the action.

One of the best places to enjoy the hotel’s setting is the swimming pool, with its wide sun terrace. There’s a separate splash pool for the little ones, too, and a poolside bar serving drinks and snacks throughout the day. Head back here for sunset cocktails as the evening rolls round.

Inside, the vibe is just as laidback. Rooms are spacious and modern in fresh neutrals – think whitewashed walls, cool tiled floors, flatscreen TVs and leather chairs. The pièce de résistance has to be the wooden balconies though – in a colonial style, they either overlook gardens, the harbour or a pretty courtyard. Extras like air-conditioning, minibars and satellite TVs add the finishing touches.

On the food front, there’s an airy breakfast room. It’s built around an old olive tree that stretches up to the ceiling and out into the open air through a skylight in the roof. Big morning buffets and sweet Greek coffee are served around it – or you can choose to have yours al fresco on the seaview terrace.
