The Hotel Bonsai in Ca’n Picafort may be as diminutive as its name suggests, but it has a loyal following of guests who return here, year after year. Small but perfectly formed, this is the ideal place for a quiet and relaxing holiday on the north-eastern coast of Majorca. Furthermore, with an indoor pool, this is a hotel that can be visited all year round – it’s only 50 metres to one of the island’s best beaches and has a private first-floor sun terrace for when the weather’s hot. Buffet meals are taken in the main dining room but there’s also a cafe and a lounge bar for snacks and drinks throughout the day. The bedrooms are well-proportioned and well decorated and air conditioning is available.

Ca’n Picafort is a relaxed beach resort, best know for its 13 kilometres of perfect sand – but up on the promenade, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars and shops to tempt you in, and the bustling marina and fishing harbour add interest to any visit. There are also a nature reserve and water park nearby, as well as the opportunity to take a cruise on a glass-bottomed boat.
