Set in a quiet but central location, these friendly and modern apartments have everything close at hand, from the beach to tavernas.

The Mythos has a prize spot in Tingaki. It’s set back from the main road in the resort, with a taverna fronting the street, so what you get is a central but quiet location. The lovely sandy beach is a couple of minutes walk away and getting to shops, restaurants and bars is easy – just wander through the taverna and you’re there. Plus there are bus stops nearby to take you to Kos Town.

As for the accommodation, smart and modern sums it up well. The apartments are arranged in three-storey blocks around the pool, so each one overlooks the water. Inside, expect spacious bedrooms and kitchen areas, with lots of natural light. There’s a Scandinavian feel to them, too, with pale-wood furnishings teamed with a simple cream colour palette. You get TVs and balconies or terraces, too.

Outside, the pool is a decent size, with plenty of space around it for sunbathing. Chunky palm trees provide a touch of greenery and shade. If you want a bit more privacy, though, there’s a lawned area, furnished with more sunloungers, tucked into one corner.

To one side of the pool is a bar, with cushioned wicker armchairs and tables spilling out onto a shaded terrace. And when it comes to food, expect the usual Greek staples and international favourites. You’ve also got the option of the taverna at the front, where local flavours are the order of the day.
