The Sea Sun Sand Resort & Spa gives you easy access to Patong’s best bits, and it’s more than a little easy on the eye.

The name of the Sea Sun Sand Resort & Spa doesn’t do it justice. The title does a great job of summing up the hotel’s proximity to the golden sands of Patong Beach – it’s just a 5-minute walk away. But it doesn’t get across how close the property is to Patong’s restaurants, shops and lively bar. They’re just 5-minutes’ walk, too.

The hotel itself is stylish through-and-through. Inside, bedrooms are futuristic. Beds are supported by the wall rather than stands on the floor, so they look like they’re hovering. And floor-to-ceiling windows provide cinematic views.

The outdoor space, meanwhile, is sculpted with landscaped gardens, and the 2 main swimming pools are surrounded by attractive sun terraces. The eye-catcher, though, has to be a halo-shaped pool, which is raised above the ground on a giant pedestal.

There are 2 restaurants at the hotel. The first serves a mixture of Oriental and western food, and the second offers a menu of authentic Thai cuisine. In both eateries, the dishes come out looking like little works of art.
