Modern looks and traditional Greek hospitality have carved a niche for these beachfront apartments.

Step into the contemporary gleaming glass reception, and you may be surprised to be given a totally traditional welcome. Socrates Plaza is a modern group of studios with high standards, but maintains the family friendliness of a small taverna. It has a mountain backdrop with gardens leading on to the beach.

Skala Prinou is a small village with several low-key restaurants and tavernas to tempt your tastebuds, - if you like tranquility, culture and beauty, you'll love it here. However, if you feel like exploring, hire a car and head south to the small resorts of Skala Sotira and Skala Kallirahis with their cosy beaches. From here, turn inland for two kilometres and explore the steep, narrow streets of peaceful Kallirahi Village.

• Located on the seafront • 50m from the nearest supermarket and taverna • A ferry from the mainland is required to reach your accommodation • Please note that the ferry is only included in the price of your holiday if you are booking a holiday package
