With whitewashed walls, a terracotta tiled roof and an elegant balustrade running the length of the wide terrace, it’s safe to say Villa Ferrera certainly looks the part.

Outside, the villa looks onto a private swimming pool with grand Roman steps making access safe and simple. It’s a very tranquil scene, with huge palm trees casting some welcome shade on sections of the lawn surrounding the pool.

There’s a sunny and relaxing feel to the interior as well. Pale lemon and apricot décor is enhanced by light-coloured floor tiles that run throughout the villa.
The living room, meanwhile, is chic, roomy and comes with really comfy sofas. Patio doors lead onto the shady terrace, with tables and chairs for outdoor meals. Mind you, the good-looking dining room, with its stylish pine furniture, gives al fresco dining a run for its money.

Elsewhere, the four bedrooms lead off from the main hallway and are all similarly light and airy. While the two bathrooms, including one with a whirlpool bath, are as stylish as the rest of the villa.

Out and about, there’s the nearby village of Santa Margalida, with a large, imposing church at its centre. There are a fair few tapas bars as well, where you can sit and watch a slice of traditional village life.
