The outdoor space is one of Casa Tres Rosas’ best bits. There’s a rectangular pool framed by a terrace that gets the sun all day. And there are plenty of sun loungers and parasols around the edge. What’s more, when dusk falls, the scene lights up, so you can spend your evenings out here, too.

The property itself is a bungalow with a contemporary design. Bedrooms have a fresh and airy feel, with their whitewashed walls and multi-coloured curtains, and the kitchen comes with shiny granite work surfaces. But the star turn has to be the open-plan living area. Thanks to its tiled feature fireplace, CD player and DVD player, it offers a cosy alternative to a night out.

When it comes to mealtimes, this place has everything you need to prepare your own food. Plus, there’s a dishwasher, so you don’t need to worry about the washing up. You can choose to eat in one of two dining areas – there’s an outdoor option for laid-back meals al fresco and a more formal dining set-up in the living area.

When you’re ready for a change of scene, a 20 minute walk will get you to the bars and restaurants of Guia. It’s a ten-minute drive to the four-kilometre-long Gale Beach and, if you want to dance your way into the early hours, the bars and clubs of Albufeira are just 15 minutes by taxi.
