Blue pool, white sand, blue sea, blue sky – these are the colours of the Movenpick Resort and Marine Spa Sousse. And the number? Five, as in stars. This superb hotel will give your holiday that touch of luxury, with its grand interiors – there are full-size palm trees in the lobby – and its excellent facilities. Outside a wonderful lagoon-style pool and palm strewn gardens give way to a broad beach of pure white sand. Inside, guests are pampered at the magnificent marine spa with its indoor pool, steam bath and de luxe treatment menu (local charges).

The Movenpick Resort will also do a brilliant job of satisfying your appetite. In the Mosaique Restaurant show cooks entertain at the mouth-watering buffet – or make a change at one of four a la carte restaurants, serving Spanish, Japanese, French and North African menus. The rooms are, of course, both comfortable and beautifully decorated, offering air conditioning, minibar, TV and balcony. Although the centre of Sousse is about two kilometres from the hotel, the nearest restaurants and shops are within 25 metres and there is plenty in the area worth exploring.
