With its beachfront location and fantastic dining scene, the Sensimar Belek Resort & Spa is an ideal place to hole up in for a week or two.

The Sensimar Belek Resort & Spa is nestled against Bogazkent Beach. To get down to the sand from the hotel, you’ve simply got to walk through the gardens.

Just beyond the greenery, you’ll find a huge swimming pool. It’s edged by thatched umbrellas and criss-crossed by little wooden bridges. There’s also a spa tucked among the palm trees. It’s home to a decadent Turkish bath decked out with black and white marble, and a host of treatment rooms where you can book in for rejuvenating facials and moisturising body masks.

When you want to eat, you’ve got quite a choice. The hotel’s buffet restaurant specialises in international dishes, while the Kulunarium eatery is all about multi-cuisine fusion food. There’s also a restaurant serving fresh seafood, and an al fresco poolside joint, which majors in light bites. When you fancy a post-dinner cocktail, meanwhile, head for the Sunset Beach Bar, where you can sip mojitos overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
